My name is Michel Barneveld and I live in the Netherlands. I have been working in the IT since 1998.
Experience
I started as a C/C++ developer on various platforms, but with the release of the .Net Framework by Microsoft my focus shifted to C# and Microsoft technologies. The last 6 years however I am doing less development and doing more consultancy, architecture and team leading. But I still get my hands dirty with the occasional software development projects. The last 3 years I have been focusing on SharePoint, both the software as the infrastructure side of it. The last year I have been working on large scale enterprise solutions based on SharePoint technology. And between all the busy work I try to share my knowledge with others as a Microsoft Certified Trainer.
Work
My current employer is Imtech ICT Velocity, which is a company focused on innovative technologies. During the last years we have mastered the SharePoint 2007 platform and have developed various tools improving the development process and the quality of the projects we deliver. Blog
Over the last 2 years people kept nagging me that I should have my own blog to share my experiences. Some friends finally convinced me that I should, so I took the step to install some blog software to share my experiences and thoughts with the rest of the world.
